"Uncle
Wainwright's" is a rather small shop staffed by volunteers to raise funds for St Mary's Anglican
Church, Appledore. All goods
sold from the shop are donated by local people and we have something
for everyone! All funds go to preserving and repairing the
Church,
You are
welcome to come and browse. Although the shop is small, it is an
Aladdin's cave crammed with items that someone regarded as junk and someone
else will cherish as treasure! We have a
large selection of good quality clothing for the whole family, plus
books, records, tapes, videos, bric-a-brac, chinaware, glassware,
kitchen and bathroom
items, books, pictures, frames, fashion jewellery, books, table
linen, bed linen, curtains, toys, small items of furniture, jigsaws and ....
more books!
We
also sell fresh cut flowers throughout the summer months - but come
early as they go very quickly!
If you are
looking for something in particular, please ask - it may be in the
back room but not yet labeled, priced and on display!
Finally,
please read the notes for guidance below if you are
considering donating items to our shop.
Hope to see
you soon!

**Notes
for Guidance** - Donating items to the shop.
PLEASE
DO NOT
LEAVE ITEMS OUTSIDE THE SHOP ....
Well, a carrier bag just
before we open is OK - but large items may cause problems! Whilst we are delighted to accept
donations of goods, we do have very limited space and large pieces of
furniture are a bit of a problem for us!
Please let us know if you
have larger items to donate and we will arrange to be there for delivery
or collection if possible. Alternatively you may like to give us
a card describing the larger item to display in the window and make a
donation in the event of your item selling.
A phone number is available on the shop
door or you can always email the shop.
PLEASE DO NOT donate
broken items, especially toys or glassware.
PLEASE
DO indicate if
jigsaws have pieces missing - or if complete.
PLEASE
ensure that
donated clothing has no paint or grease marks.
